We have 3 different ways for you to get FREE products.  1) Buy $50 or more in TOYS and we'll add a special toy for your Parrot, or buy $150 or more and get a FREE magazine.  2) Each time you shop or the first time someone you refer shops, you gain REWARD POINTS * that can be used like cash.  Earn 500 points and start spending.  This can be as easy as referring 5 friends.  3) Buy your Parrot's food and after 15 in any food group you'll get one FREE.  That works out to 6-1/4 % less than our posted price.

Store Policies  

Product Selection
We make every effort to ensure the products we choose are safe for your Parrot.  When in doubt the product is sent to a laboratory for testing or if hardware is an issue, it gets replaced with bird-safe parts.  You may also notice a USA or Canadian flag on many of the products we sell.  This simply indicates the country of origin.  We are continuing to populate this data and hopefully all goods made in USA or Canada will have the flags.  In the meantime if you have any concerns from where a product originates simply send an email to

We are a full scale store with two retail outlets.  We do not work from home.  Nor do we not take products to bird clubs or conferences where they allow Parrots in the vendor area, we don't take products to our homes, we do not make toys in our homes and we don't purchase toys from any toy maker that works out of their house.  We take ever possible preventive measure to ensure our products are not exposed to birds.

While we make every effort to ensure our toys are as safe as possible, we cannot assume responsibility or liability for how your Parrot ultimately uses them.  It is your responsibility as the caregiver to supervise and ensure safe & appropriate use of toys and accessories.  Daily inspections should be made for parts that have become dangerous from use or abuse.  We recommend trimming back threads on rope perches, boings or toys if made with polished cotton or cotton blends.

Quotes
Quotes are valid for 14 days only unless otherwise stated in writing.  Quotes exclude all taxes and shipping costs unless the quote is for shipping only and again excludes all taxes, insurance and home delivery charges.

Return Policy

All orders will be received in good condition or replaced upon return of damaged merchandise.  If you are not satisfied with your internet purchase for any reason, please contact us before returning it.  Merchandise that has been approved for credit MUST be post marked for return within 7 days of receiving approval.  Returned products must be in original, unused condition including accessories and unopened packaging.  Please include a copy of your invoice with the return.  We are unable to accept returns on wood play gyms, any items removed from the original packaging or not sold prepackaged (for sanitary reasons) with the exception of those with manufacturer’s guarantees.  We do not warranty any discounted item.  Credit is issued, less a 15% restocking fee. The original shipping fees are not refundable, unless returning merchandise that we shipped in error.  All return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility.  We encourage you to contact us with any questions prior to purchase.

Damaged Goods
In case of lost or damaged items due to shipping, contact the shipper to file a claim.  Keep all original packing materials and paperwork until your claim is satisfied.  Let us know if you receive a damaged item, and, if possible, we will try to assist in the resolution of your claim with the shipper.

Cancellations
Cancellation of internet orders are subject to a 3%* processing fee to administrative charges and other fees to the original charge plus the refund payment.

Payment Options
We provide secured on-line credit card payment but also accept money orders, cheques or electronic funds transfer through Interac email transfer http://www.interac.ca/consumers/productsandservices_ol_emt.php.   Please indicate payment method by cheque/money order, credit cards by phone,  debit card (pick-up in Calgary) and electronic funds transfer at checkout.  Use your Parrotdise Perch password as the password required for electronic funds transfer.  Our mailing address for cheques or money orders is 2834 Morley Trail NW, Calgary, Alberta, Canada T2M 4G7.  We will credit your account if an item is out of stock providing the amount is greater than $10.00 otherwise we will place a credit on your online account that can be applied to the next order.  We do not ship backordered items.  Order cancellations that require a refund to a credit card will incur the greater of $3.00 or 3%* of each transaction (charge & refund) for the bank charges.  The charge for NSF cheques is $25.

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site.  We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you.  We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.  We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us.  We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, that is; to ship an order.  Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time.  You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

Security Statement
We take extreme efforts to insure complete on-line security of your valuable data and credit card information.  Credit card orders are processed by Moneris, our authorized on-line retailer (
http://www.moneris.com/eselectplus/index).  We use encrypted transmittal to Secure Servers for the submission of your final payment information.  This has been proven to be safer than giving your credit card information over the telephone.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline.  Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information.  The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment and we do not retain credit card information.

Shipping
We now have shipping options.  The default shipping options are Canpar (Canada) and Postal Service (USA).  This will be used for all shipments unless specifically requested otherwise or for oversized parcels.   Please email for the "Extra Shipping" cost on oversized parcels before completing your order.  This amount can be added by searching for "Extra Shipping".  At checkout please select the Pick-up or Extra Shipping Included option to avoid additional postage charges.  Typically, shipments may be expected within 7 business days in Canada and 12 business days in the USA.  If we have overestimated the shipping costs by more than $3.50, our packaging costs, we will credit your account for the difference to be applied to future purchases.  Cash or credit card refunds will not be made for amounts under $10.00.  Tracking your shipmnet can be done by Reference number with Canada Post and Canpar.  Simply use your order number entered without any spaces, for example ORDER1234.  Canpar requires your postal code also entered without any spaces, for example T2M4G7.

If you live in Calgary and would like to pick up your order you can select this option to avoid being charged.  Please indicate in the comments when your order will be picked up.
